Bilateral relations

• Official visit of Prime Minister Frieden to Montenegro on December 2 and 3, 2025. In Podgorica, upon arrival, Luc Frieden met with President Jakov Milatović. On Wednesday, the visit continued with a working meeting with Montenegro's Prime Minister, Milojko Spajić.
• The Minister of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro, Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, met with the Minister of National Education, Children and Youth, Claude Meisch, during a working visit to Luxembourg on March 31, 2025.
• Montenegro's Prime Minister Milojko Spajić visited Luxembourg and met with Prime Minister Luc Frieden on January 29, 2024. One of the key points of discussion between the two heads of government was Montenegro's European integration.

Bilateral agreements

• At the level of bilateral agreements, a double taxation avoidance convention was signed by the two governments on January 29, 2024 (on the occasion of the aforementioned visit by Prime Minister Spajić) and is applied starting January 1, 2026.
